I converted this book from a print book to ebook. I love what you can do to enhance an ebook to interact with the reader. Below are a few screen shots from iBooks. I created .epub and .mobi files.
This book talks about people doing the same thing everyday, but expecting different results. It discusses how to “jump the track” and get moving in a better direction. As a designer, illustrating time is tricky. I used a spiraling “Alice in Wonderland” type clock to give a timeless feel.

I book about investing and making the most of our resources. The Ben Franklin peak-a-boo worked fantastic on the cover and I was able to carry it through to the interior. This book contains some detailed information. The trick for me to make the text navigatable the text for the reader.

This book is a sequel to Colorado’s Sleeping on the Summits. This book explores the winter adventures of Dr. Jon Kedrowski as he skis (and sometimes sleeps) on top of volcanic mountains in Washington, Oregon and norther California. The trick for me was to design each page different to keep the reader interested and motivated to turn the page. We added more detailed maps to give more information.

Almost every word in this title is a fact — websites, addresses, and phone numbers. It is constantly being updated. The design of this book needed to be flexible when information changed, colorful to keep the reader interested and very organized so the reader wouldn’t get lost in the pages or on the road!
We are experimenting with offering this title as an interactive eBook as well as the traditional print version.
